We thought it would be a good idea to put together a website that we can update as and when we confirm timings etc. so that all our lovely guests can be kept up to date.

Wedding Ceremony

When

The ceremony will start at 2pm, please arrive at least 30 minutes beforehand. If we are lucky with the weather the ceremony will take place outside, if we are unlucky we will be in the barn....having said this we are already lucky to have such a gorgeous venue and all our family and friends around us!

Venue Information

There is plenty of parking at the venue, it is also possible to book taxis but please do make sure you book in advance, uber hasn't yet made its way to the Lake District.

Usual wedding attire!

Policy on Children

Unfortunately we only have enough capacity for a small number of children. We hope that those parents who are unable to bring their children on the day can find childcare and enjoy a day off!

8.15pm - First dance & band
9.00pm - Evening food
12.00am - Bar closes/carriages

Accommodation

The Lake District is absolutely beautiful and there is so much to do there. Summer is a really popular time and as we have chosen a peak weekend in August we are conscious that accommodation may get booked up quickly. We therefore encourage everyone to arrange their accommodation well in advance. Below are a few suggestions.

If you are staying in the Lake District for a little longer we would recommend also looking in the Windermere, Bowness and Ambleside area as you will be closer to the main Lake District attractions and sites.

Camping

There are 12 camping pitches at the venue plus space for caravans and campers. This is available free of charge on the Friday and Saturday nights. If you would like to camp please let us know and we can arrange with the venue.  There is a shower and toilet block near the carpark. Please note that there are no electrical facilities to hook up to caravans and camper vans, although they are welcome to stay over in the car park.

Travel Information

Car Train Taxi
If you are travelling by car then sat nav is your friend! There is plenty of parking at the venue.
If you are travelling by train the closest train station is either Windermere or Grange-over-Sands. There are usually taxis at the station that will be able to take you to the venue. 
If you are travelling by taxi then we suggest booking in advance. Similarly if you are leaving by taxi then please please also book in advance. A few suggestions below:

Please do not feel obliged to get us any sort of gift. We will have a postbox on the day for cards, however in terms of presents we are just excited to have everyone there on the day to celebrate with us.
